Albany welcomed my son and me and gave us a home. As Sammy grew from a kindergartner into a UC Davis student, I became deeply involved in serving the community that embraced us. I'm president of the Albany Community Foundation, serve on the Albany Y board, spent nearly ten years on the Albany Education Foundation board, and founded Albany's Pride.
Running my small business for nearly twenty years has taught me to set priorities, make every dollar count, and answer for the results.
I'm running on one promise: a relentless focus on Albany. That means safer streets, citywide traffic calming and sidewalks seniors can trust; a transparent City budget, with a clear public plan to replace approximately $1.1 million in annual revenue tied to Golden Gate Fields as it moves toward becoming a waterfront park; Solano and San Pablo Avenues where local businesses can open, stay, and thrive; and room for the families, teachers, and seniors who make Albany work.
I'm proud to be endorsed by Mayor Peggy McQuaid and Vice Mayor Jennifer Hansen-Romero. I'll listen first, decide in the open, and report back. I'd be honored to earn your vote and your #1 ranking.
